US, Phoenix: Phoenix Fatal Vehicle vs Pedestrian Collision
Phoenix, United States - November 02, 2025 11/01/2025 10:46 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Police Department officers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Vineyard Road. Upon arrival, first responders located an unidentified pedestrian in the southbound lanes of 7th Avenue, south of the Vineyard Road intersection. A southbound black Dodge Durango struck the pedestrian. Firefighters attempted to render aid but ultimately pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes Unit detectives responded to the scene and assumed command of the investigation. The driver of the Dodge Durango remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives during their investigation. A several-hour-long hard closure was established for 7th Avenue, spanning Fremont Road to St. Anne Avenue while detectives conducted their investigation.
