US, Los Angeles: Northridge Train Strikes Pedestrian Investigation Underway
Los Angeles, United States - November 02, 2025 11/02/2025 08:07 am GMT-0800 NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A male pedestrian was struck by the westbound Surfliner Amtrak train near Tampa Avenue. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and conducted a triage on the train, escorting all passengers off safely. The victim was transported to Northridge Hospital, and no additional patients were reported. As a result of the incident, Amtrak shut down local operations to carry out an investigation, which is expected to take several hours and may affect scheduling.
