A stolen puppy was reunited with its owner following an armed burglary at a mobile phone shop in Florida.

Reports said the shop owner confronted three masked suspects who entered the premises at around 12:27 am on Wednesday.

The individuals then fled with the pooch, a French Bulldog named King.

After the owner filed a report, detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation and identified four people connected to the theft.

Bodycam footage shows officers executing a search warrant at a flat in the Westbury at Lake Brandon complex.

Detectives later found King safely hidden inside a drawer at around 3:45 pm the next day. The canine was returned unharmed to his grateful owner.

Authorities arrested Jeremiah Little, 17, Dwayne Shirley, 15, Tony Marshall, 19, and Deshaun Jenkins, 18, in connection with the incident.
