This is the dramatic moment cars were swept away during floods caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi in the Philippines.

Footage shows vehicles being swallowed by the severe inundation as torrential rain and strong winds battered a residential area in Cebu City on November 4.

Kalmaegi, locally known as Tino, has killed at least 66 people and displaced hundreds of thousands across the country. Another 26 people are reportedly missing.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the storm dumped more than a month's worth of rain in just 24 hours in Southern Leyte and Cebu.

Kalmaegi is forecast to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by late Wednesday or early Thursday.
