US: UPS Cargo Plane Crashes After Takeoff from Louisville, Killing Seven
United States - November 04, 2025 At least seven people were killed and 11 others injured when a UPS cargo plane crashed and exploded shortly after takeoff from Louisville International Airport in Kentucky, officials confirmed on Tuesday. Security camera footage captured a close-up of the crash and ensuing fireball, showing UPS Flight 2976, a McDonnell Douglas MD-11, erupting in flames moments after leaving the runway. According to Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg, the aircraft was carrying nearly 280,000 pounds of fuel when it went down near airport grounds, triggering a massive explosion and fire visible for miles.
