A binman was left screaming in agony when his legs were crushed between a lorry and a speeding Kia car in a collision on a residential street.

The refuse collector, 36, was boarding the rear of the truck when the white hatchback manoeuvring on the road, hit him, pinning the worker upon impact in Goleniow County, Poland.

CCTV footage shows the worker in a reflective jacket screaming in pain as he slammed the windscreen of the wrecked vehicle on November 1.

His colleague, who was driving the lorry, immediately stepped out of the vehicle while the Kia slowly reversed.

They then called emergency responders, who swiftly arrived at the scene. Paramedics provided first aid and transported the victim to a hospital.

Local media reported that the worker suffered an open fracture to his right leg below the knee and was later scheduled for surgery the same day.

Police said the driver of the Kia was sober and that an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the crash.
