Instagram family Callum, Nicole, and Kenzie have touched hearts worldwide after posting a video of their dramatic turtle rescue, which has now reached 280,000 views.

On their way into town, the trio stopped at a turtle sanctuary to admire the hundreds of turtles swimming in the shallows and resting along the beach. From a dune, they spotted what looked like a turtle washed up on its back, baking in the sun.

“We raced down to it and it looked lifeless,” they explained in the caption. “Hoping it was still alive we approached it and noticed a tiny movement in its neck… it was still breathing.”

After carefully turning the turtle over, the family watched as it slowly made its way back into the ocean—a moment they described as “so special.”
