Hong Kong: Hong Kong, Macao ready for 15th National Games
China's Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions (SAR) have completed the preparatory work for the 15th National Games, which will officially open on Sunday evening. The Games will be held in 17 cities in south China's Guangdong Province, including Guangzhou and Shenzhen, as well as the neighboring Hong Kong and Macao SARs. This is the first time for the three regions to co-host the country's premier multi-sport event. In Hong Kong, venues such as the Kai Tak Stadium for fencing, men's handball and rugby sevens will host multiple competitions during the Games, with tickets for some popular events sold out. The SAR has arranged its largest-ever team of volunteers for the sporting event, consisting of more than 16,000 ones from all walks of life, aged between 15 and 85. Macao will host competitions in table tennis, women's volleyball, three-on-three basketball, under-18 men's basketball and karate, marking the SAR's first time to co-host a national sporting event. Now, all venues for competitions and media reports in Macao have been fully operational, with over 3,500 volunteers on duty at venues and ports of entry. Shotlist: Hong Kong, China - Recent: 1.
