This footage reportedly shows a Russian 2S7M Malka self-propelled gun striking a Ukrainian fortification on the Pokrovsk frontline.

The attack is said to have taken place in the Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, on November 6.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, an artillery crew from the 120th Guards Artillery Brigade, part of the ‘Centre’ group of forces, destroyed a temporary deployment site along with personnel of Ukrainian armed formations near Pokrovsk.

Reconnaissance units reportedly detected a fortified area and a group of Ukrainian fighters sheltering inside a reinforced concrete structure.

A drone crew confirmed the intelligence data and adjusted the targeting for the artillery strike.

After receiving the coordinates, the Malka crew moved to a pre-prepared firing position, readied the weapon, aimed, and fired a series of targeted 203mm high-explosive fragmentation shells.

After completing the mission, the artillery crew promptly changed position to reduce the risk of a retaliatory strike.

The Russian Ministry of Defence said such actions are part of standard modern combat tactics used by its artillery units.
