US troops delivered hurricane relief aid to residents in Jamaica.

Emergency responders, alongside the joint task force, assisted in distributing food and water to communities affected by the severe weather.

On November 5, soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, Joint Task Force-Bravo, provided assistance in Treasure Beach.

Another team visited Spring Mount on November 7, delivering aid to families impacted by the storm.

Representatives from non-government organisations also joined military personnel in providing relief to Little London on November 9.

Melissa made landfall on Jamaica's south-western coast around 1 pm ET on October 28 as a Category 5 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 185 mph. At least 67 deaths were reported as a result of the freak weather.
