Storyline: Sino-German Automobile Conference fuels future collaboration [Voice_over] Under the theme "Forging a New Ecosystem for China-Germany Automotive Industry Cooperation," the 9th Sino-German Automobile Conference has brought together more than 60 German industry leaders in Changchun to explore new opportunities amid sweeping industrial change. [Sound_bite] Jochem Heizmann, Former CEO, Volkswagen Group China: "From the technology or the R and D phase, to come to a new car from the start, to being ready to sell cars to customers, this phase, has been developed in China much much shorter. This is something we can learn, we are learning and now I think in a phase to be able to do it as fast as it is happening here in China." [Sound_bite] Ron Zheng, Senior Partner, Roland Berger: "For example, the FAW-VW, the joint venture has been very successful and has been the number one joint venture in the Chinese market. And of course, we think it is going to be still one of the top automotive manufacturers in the Chinese market, the biggest world leading market. Now we are in the stage of a very fierce competition when it comes to smart EVs. But one day or very shortly we will find that you know every brand or every OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) group, they wants to define or identify themselves with the brand premium topic, and that is a lot you can learn from the German brands." [Stand_up] Guo Tianqi, Reporter: "After more than 30 years of China-Germany joint ventures, FAW-Volkswagen has evolved from providing access to the Chinese market in exchange for technologies from German automakers to now starting technological feedback, especially in the field of automated production." [Voice_over] Today, China stands not only as the world's No.1 automobile producer and seller by volume but also as a global hub of technological innovation for electrification and intelligent mobility. [Sound_bite] Sun Zhiguo, Planning Director, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive: "FAW-Volkswagen will launch 4 new energy vehicle models developed on VW Group's all-new CSP (China Scalable Platform) platform at the Changchun base, with gradual production rollout starting in 2027. By then, the Changchun base will form a product portfolio covering high-end, intelligent fuel-powered vehicles alongside all-new hybrid and pure electric models." [Voice_over] Known as the "cradle of China's automobile industry," Changchun is now driving the transformation toward a greener, smarter, and more high-end future, powered by joint efforts between Chinese and German automakers.
