Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard volunteers captured 17 seconds of fierce seas in Scotsman Bay as Storm Claudia peaked on November 14, 2025. The footage shows waves rising up to three metres, crashing violently against the harbour walls and piers under thick grey skies — a direct warning for the public to stay away from the water.

Storm Claudia, named by the UK Met Office, has delivered more than 80 millimetres of rain across parts of eastern Ireland in 24 hours, prompting orange rainfall alerts for Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow until November 15. Authorities continue to warn of potential river overflows, including along the Liffey, alongside extremely hazardous coastal conditions confirmed by Met Éireann.
