Phoenix, United States - November 15, 2025 11/15/2025 02:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to detectives at the scene, Phoenix Police Department officers responded to an apartment complex near the 8100 block of North 19th Drive at approximately 2:00 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Officers surrounded the involved apartment unit and ordered all occupants to exit. An adult male exited the unit and was detained by officers. Officers entered the apartment unit and located an adult female occupant. Officers detained the female, removed her from the apartment, and continued their search. During the search of the apartment, officers located an unidentified gunshot victim. Phoenix Fire Department personnel arrived a short time later and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The adult female detainee was transported to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation. Phoenix Police Homicide Unit detectives have assumed command of the investigation. Detectives were expected to remain at the scene for several hours as the homicide investigation unfolded.
