Severe flash flooding struck the Los Rosales–Nuevo Parque neighborhood in Huelva on November 15, 2025, during Storm Claudia. In the footage, muddy water surges rapidly through palm-lined residential streets, rising to car-door level in parking lots around apartment blocks, leaving vehicles partially submerged and chaos unfolding in the unexpected downpour.

The flooding was triggered by more than 80 liters of rain per square meter, according to regional reports. Authorities activated Level 1 of the flood-risk emergency plan in Huelva province.

Across Andalusia, Storm Claudia has generated over 900 weather-related incidents. In Huelva specifically, streets, avenues, and plazas were inundated, and more than 60 flood-related emergencies were reported in the city alone.

One of the most dramatic impacts elsewhere: a ravine (barranco) in Nerva overflowed, contributing to the region’s widespread flooding. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall also destabilized road infrastructure — a major stretch of the A-476 between Huelva and Seville collapsed under saturated soil.

There are no confirmed reports of structural collapses in the Los Rosales–Nuevo Parque area yet, but the intensity of the flood and volume of water have left residents and emergency crews dealing with significant disruption and mounting concern.
