Monmouth town was severely flooded by Storm Claudia on the night of 14th to 15th November 2025 when the River Monnow broke its banks causing catastrophic flooding and devastating damage to homes and businesses. Jordan Lewis, age 31 and her dog Django from Monnow Street, Monmouth were marooned by floodwaters in a flat in Monnow Street with no electricity or heating and only had candlelight to light her home. This video captures the tense moments when she and her dog Django were rescued by the Fire and Rescue Service in Monnow Street taking her through filthy floodwaters in a rubber dinghy to a point of safety.
