5. ZIYAD UBEID SPEAKING (Arabic) TO REPORTER DEIR AL-BALAH, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - NOV. 17: Fourteen unidentified Palestinian bodies delivered under the recent cease-fire and prisoner exchange arrangement were buried in Deir al-Balah, Palestine on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Civil defense teams transported the bodies using heavy machinery and moved them to a designated area prepared as a burial site. Workers placed the bodies in rows before covering them with soil.

Officials said the remains were handed over without identification records. Local teams continue efforts to document information and match available data to help determine identities.

Phase one of the ceasefire deal, based on US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan, includes the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. The plan also envisages the rebuilding of Gaza and the establishment of a new governing mechanism without Hamas.

Israel has killed more than 69,000 people, mostly women and children, in Gaza since October 2023 and reduced it to rubble.
