Phoenix, United States - November 17, 2025 11/16/2025 06:03 pm GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Glendale Fire Department and Glendale police officers were dispatched to the intersection of 51st Avenue and Glendale Avenue on Sunday evening, around 6:00 p.m., for reports of a traffic collision. Crews arrived and found a multi-vehicle crash at the south side of the intersection, which included an AMR ambulance among the involved vehicles. According to Sergeant Mendez with the Glendale Police Department's public information office, an elderly passenger in a silver minivan sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased. Glendale police officers closed the intersection in all directions while investigating the collision.
