Paraguay is to send more political, business and media representatives to visit China next year to gain deeper understanding of the country, said Hugo Meza, first vice president, Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay, in an interview with China Global Television Network. A delegation of the South American nation's lawmakers just paid a visit to Beijing, Zhejiang and Chongqing of China in October at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. Meza said it's only a matter of time for Paraguay to establish diplomatic relationship with China. Pastor Vera, a member of Paraguay's Chamber of Deputies, was among the Paraguayan visitors touring China in October. He said in the interview with CGNT that he was impressed by China's social, economic and technological development, and it is a historical trend for Paraguay to officially establish diplomatic ties with China.
