Storyline: China, Germany hold fourth high-level financial dialogue in Beijing [Voice_over] The fourth China-Germany High-Level Financial Dialogue was held in Beijing on November 17, as previously agreed by the two countries. The talks were co-chaired by China's Vice Premier He Lifeng and Germany's Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil, who are the lead persons for the dialogue. China’s He said that China is willing to work with Germany to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and to make new contributions to the stability and growth of the global economy. Klingbeil said that Germany is willing to engage in close exchange and cooperation with China in the financial and monetary sector to drive greater progress in bilateral relations. He and Klingbeil also attended the second China-Germany Financial Roundtable. After the meeting, both sides issued a Joint Statement. The statement said that both sides will uphold multilateral cooperation, oppose unilateralism and trade protectionism, as well as support the G20. They will implement previous G20 consensus and promote cooperation on macroeconomic coordination, financial institution reform, financial stability, sustainable development and the digital economy.
