Zelenskyy laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence before signing the official guestbook at the site.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to welcome Zelenskyy, at the presidential complex, where they will discuss bilateral ties and current developments concerning the Russia-Ukraine war.
Following the talks, the leaders are expected to hold a news conference.
Türkiye is continuing its efforts to end the ongoing war, which began in February 2022.
Ankara has urged Kyiv and Moscow to end the fighting through negotiations, with Türkiye ready for any initiative, including mediation, to lay the groundwork for peace.
