Shonna Hackney was in Kroger buying her weekly meal prep when a furious shopper began hurling the filmer's shopping and shouting at her.

Hackney told Newsflare: "I went in to Kroger for my weekly meal prep and a few essentials. When I got to the checkout lines, they were all full except one.

"The gentleman in the video was finished and bagging his stuff up at the end. I started checking out my items and they sat on the belt while he was still bagging his stuff. Remind you my stuff was nowhere near his!

"Out of nowhere, he started cursing, yelling, and even throwing my stuff. Then he got in my face—pointing, shouting, and attempting to hit me three times at a very close range before security stepped in.


"No one else intervened. No one else said a word. But in that moment, all I could think was, 'God bless you.' All I could feel was the Holy Spirit reminding me of the Bible study we just had last night—about being a disciple, walking in love, and exercising SELF-CONTROL.

"I had every natural reason to react. But I had a spiritual responsibility to respond like Christ."

The Power of Self-Control when someone is out of control

Discipleship isn’t just what you learn… it’s what you walk out.

I thank God for covering me.
I thank God for self-control.
And I even thank God for the reminder that not every attack deserves a reaction—sometimes it deserves a blessing.
