This is the dramatic moment a Good Samaritan stopped a runaway car with his bare hands.

CCTV footage shows the quick-thinking man walking across a parking area when he noticed the silver sedan was reversing towards the walkway in Magnitogorsk, Russia.

He can be seen watching closely and decides to rush behind the vehicle when it continues to roll down, concerned that the unmanned car might hit another parked vehicle on the other side on November 14.

The man then placed both hands on the boot and halted the vehicle just in time, then carefully removed his hands after checking that it had stopped moving.

He did not sustain any injuries from the incident.

Locals speculated that the car might have moved because the handbrake may not have been fully engaged.
