US, Los Angeles: Oxnard Train Derails Due To Muddy Tracks
Los Angeles, United States - November 19, 2025 11/19/2025 07:11 am GMT-0800 OXNARD, Calif. – Oxnard City Fire crews responded to reports of a train derailment on the 800 block of North Rice Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a Union Pacific train, LOF63-19, derailed on the industrial spur track serving the Procter & Gamble Paper Products plant. The locomotive and three boxcars had come off the tracks, likely due to the buckling of the track in heavy mud from recent record-breaking rainfall in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the train was not transporting any hazardous materials. Representatives from Union Pacific were on the scene assessing the situation.
