This is the shocking moment a stove burst into flames while a husband was trying to clean it.

Pariwat Koipanich, 37, was scrubbing the appliance with a flammable chemical solution when the burners suddenly caught fire in Rayong, Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the man kneeling on the ground, rubbing the surface with a toothbrush, on November 18.

Moments later, the blaze spread across the counter and the stove after he accidentally switched the igniter with his hand, causing his wife to scream and rush into the kitchen.

The startled man lurched backward to avoid being burned, then stood up to extinguish the fire. He managed to bring the fire under control by blowing on it.

He did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
