8. BOARD READING "CAF AWARDS 2025" SALE, MOROCCO - NOV. 19, 2025: Paris Saint-Germain's Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi was named the 2025 African Footballer of the Year at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards Ceremony held in the city of Sale in Morocco on Wednesday (Nov. 19).
According to a statement by CAF, Hakimi won the 2025 Footballer of the Year award, beating Nigerian Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray and Egyptian Mohamed Salah of Liverpool in the vote.
Al Hilal’s Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was awarded Africa’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Patrice Motsepe attended the ceremony.
