Exclusive: Shocking moment men threaten and 'spit at' woman on late-night London tube after asking to stop 'manspreading'
A woman recording the shocking moment two men responded angrily after a woman accused one of them of "manspreading" on a London tube.
The filmer, who wishes to remain anonymous, recorded the moment one of the men appears to spit towards her as she got off the tube.
They told Newsflare: "I was on the Piccadilly Line eastbound towards Cockfosters at around 1:40 am. The carriage wasn’t very full, and a man boarded the train and sat next to me with his legs spread so wide that he was physically touching me. I politely asked him to bring his legs in a little because I was being squashed.
"He immediately became angry and started shouting. Without warning, he punched the glass panel right next to my head with full force. His friend then stepped toward me and the two of them became aggressive as if they were about to attack. Other passengers were watching nervously, and some moved away as the situation escalated.
"As soon as the train stopped and the doors opened, I quickly stepped off to get away from them. While I was leaving, the second man spat at me. The incident was completely unprovoked, and the passengers nearby were visibly shaken by how fast things turned violent."
