US, Los Angeles: Glassell Park Hydrant Crash
Los Angeles, United States - November 20, 2025 11/20/2025 12:13 am GMT-0800 GLASSELL PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles firefighters and police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a fire hydrant near the intersection of San Fernando Road and Edward Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters found a Chevrolet SUV that had left the roadway and struck the hydrant. The impact sheared the hydrant, creating a geyser of water that sprayed into the air and posed a danger to nearby high-voltage power lines. Firefighters worked for nearly an hour to shut off the hydrant. The driver of the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries sustained in the crash. The area remained closed while the Department of Water and Power repaired the hydrant.
