Bangladesh earthquake shakes home as child runs screaming through room
Homes shook as a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Bangladesh on Friday morning.
CCTV footage shows a boy screaming in panic when the tremor rocked his house in the capital Dhaka.
A chandelier swayed and furniture were seen rattling in the living room.
Homeowner Joinal Abedin said: 'My son Ayan was at his reading table. Suddenly, he thought his leg was moving. As the intensity increased, he realised it was an earthquake and immediately ran away.
'I've experience earthquake many times in this city, but I've never seen such a terrible one like today.'
The United States Geological Survey said the magnitude 5.5 quake struck at 10:38 am local time near the city of Narsingdi, some 16 miles (33 kilometres) from Dhaka. It was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometres (six miles).
Police said at least three people were killed when a building railing collapsed during the tremor.
