This is the shocking moment two cement mixers overturned within minutes of each other outside a family's home in China.

CCTV footage shows the first passing truck manoeuvring across the narrow road when it suddenly toppled onto its side and plunged into a pond.

A homeowner who witnessed the incident called the police and the fire brigade to rescue the driver inside the vehicle on October 28.

Moments later, authorities arrived at the scene. As they inspected what happened to the first truck, another concrete mixer navigating the same road also fell, overturning into a separate pond on the other side.

Local media reported that neither driver sustained any injuries from the incidents next to the motorway in Nanxi, Sichuan.

Resident Ms Wu said that the road was currently under construction and the two vehicles belonged to a construction party.

On November 16, a crane passing along the same route became stuck and toppled onto the side of the motorway.
