Storyline: China advances all-space unmanned systems to reduce logistics costs [Voice_over] China is accelerating the development of what they're calling all-space unmanned systems. The term describes a plan to combine data from unmanned equipment in the air, sea and land as a way to drive down logistics costs and cultivate new industries. The systems use unmanned equipment like robots, drones, and land and sea vehicles, and supporting infrastructure to monitor and collect information from "all kinds of spatial domains" including outer space, atmospheric space, terrestrial surfaces, water surfaces and underwater space. One of the key testing grounds for unmanned aerial equipment is the Luogang Park in east China's Hefei City, where the low-altitude economy is taking off. [Sound_bite] Qiu Zhaofeng, Chairman, ZDIAI: "We leverage AI and Industrial Internet technologies to enable vessels to operate autonomously and continuously. By utilizing big data to optimize cargo loads, we ensure seamless routes, non-stop operations, and full capacity utilization. This approach significantly reduces overall societal logistics costs." [Voice_over] The roll out of China's all-space unmanned system has already been applied in Hefei's rail transit industry, where an intelligent detection system can dispatch drones for inspection. [Sound_bite] Fang Dawei, Deputy general manager, tech firm in Hefei: "It can detect risky construction activities and trigger an alert immediately which will be sent to the drone system for a seamless ground-air coordination." [Voice_over] According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the market scale of the country's low-altitude economy is expected to exceed 200 billion U.S. dollars by the end of the year and 500 billion in the next decade.
