5. VARIOUS OF ATTENDEES AT CEREMONIES SARAJEVO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - NOVEMBER 25: Bosnia and Herzegovina marked Statehood Day in Sarajevo on Tuesday with a series of ceremonies celebrating the country’s founding on Nov. 25, 1943.

The celebrations began with the hoisting of a massive Bosnian flag at the Hum Hill in Sarajevo.

At Kovaci memorial cemetery, delegations paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the defense of Bosnia in 1992 and 1995.

Participants laid flowers on the grave of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first president, Alija Izetbegovic, and offered prayers. The commemorations were attended by members of the Bosnian Presidency, government ministers, local authorities, and members of the public.
