A major incident was declared in West London as a large fire tore through a two-storey warehouse and retail building in Southall on Bridge Road. London Fire Brigade received the call at 8:55 a.m. and deployed 150 firefighters and 25 fire engines from Southall, Heston, Ealing, and nearby stations.
The warehouse, reported to contain fireworks, produced loud explosions as the blaze spread. The structure is located near Middlesex Business Park, opposite Hortus Cemetery.
