Dazzling Christmas Train of Lights returns for the 2025 festive season
A dazzling Christmas Train of Lights is set for its maiden voyage of the festive season this week.
Families and rail enthusiasts alike are expected to flock to Queen's Park Station in Paignton on November 28 as the much-loved illuminated locomotive begins its sparkling seasonal service.
The magical journey sees the glowing train trundle along the stunning South Devon coastline on a 25-minute trip to Kingswear, where passengers can hop off for a whistle-stop wander around Dartmouth before reboarding just 15 minutes later for the cosy ride home.
Local videographer Scott Williams, 50, who has made a tradition of filming the yuletide spectacle each year, captured the train's enchanting trial run yesterday (Nov 25).
Scott, from Paignton, Devon, said: "The Train of Lights is looking as magical as ever."
"It's the first real sign that Christmas is on its way to South Devon. "
"I managed to film it at Goodrington, Broadsands and as it came into Kingswear - it never fails to delight."
