US: SOUTHCOM Lethal Kinetic Strike On Semi Submersible Kills 2 Narco Terrorists
United States - October 16, 2025 SOUTHCOM area of responsibility – On Oct. 16, 2025, President Donald Trump ordered U.S. military forces assigned to U.S. Southern Command to carry out a lethal kinetic strike on a semi-submersible vessel in international waters. The vessel was being operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. Intelligence confirmed that the semi-submersible was engaged in illicit narcotics smuggling, traveling along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics. Two male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. Two other surviving narco-terrorists were returned to their countries of origin. No U.S. military forces were harmed.
