Inspector Rajiv Pal (RPF Rafiganj, presently Gaya) is posted on arrangement duty at Gaya Railway Station, situated under the jurisdiction of Railway Protection Force Post Gaya.
While on duty, the constable was patrolling platform number 5. Train number 63330, the Gaya-Patliputra Express, departed on its scheduled departure time and slowly began moving towards its destination.
Meanwhile, Inspector Rajiv Pal, while on patrol, reached the Middle FOB and saw a woman with a two-year-old child in her lap, running fast and trying to board a moving train, and then stumbling into the gap between the train and the platform. Seeing this, the constable took immediate action, pulled the woman and child out, saving their lives. The woman and child were uninjured and boarded another train to Patna.
Due to the actions of Constable Rajiv Pal, the lives of a woman and a 2-year-old child were saved. The passengers present at the spot, after seeing the above scene, praised RPF Constable Rajiv Pal and thanked the RPF. A partial view of the above incident has been recorded in CCTV.
