Severe river overflow flooding engulfs neighborhood in Medan Sunggal, Indonesia
On November 27, 2025, in Medan Sunggal, Medan, Indonesia, @ayuuekasari shared a video of severe flooding caused by an overflowing river. In the video, floodwaters have risen to the height of an adult’s neck, forcing residents to evacuate to a neighbor’s balcony for safety. The current is visibly strong, with several homes already submerged and the situation described as extremely urgent. Emergency services, including SAR teams and BPBD, have been contacted as powerful currents continue sweeping through the neighborhood.
