Shoppers queued outside stores from early morning to secure discounts on dollarized products, seeking rare relief at a time when inflation, U.S. sanctions and political tensions continue to strain daily life.

The surge in consumer activity offered a brief sense of normalcy for many, even as Venezuela remains gripped by hardship and uncertainty.

Venezuela’s prolonged economic crisis, driven in part by international sanctions, has left residents struggling with soaring prices and limited purchasing power.

Black Friday, traditionally held the day after U.S. Thanksgiving, has grown into a major global shopping event. In recent years, the trend has spread across Latin America, where retailers use the occasion to boost sales.
