US, Los Angeles: Wilmington Man Barricades On Roof Of Library

Los Angeles, United States - November 30, 2025 11/29/2025 10:00 pm GMT-0800 WILMINGTON, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department Harbor units responded to a report of a man on the roof of the Los Angeles Public Library, located at the intersection of Fries Avenue and Opp Street. Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department were requested to assist in getting the man down after he began throwing roof tiles into the street. The man, involved in a domestic dispute and reportedly unable to see his children, refused to comply with police officers and come down from the roof. After several hours, the man voluntarily descended and was taken into custody. LAFD evaluated him at the scene, but he was not transported to the hospital. The LAPD Harbor officers are handling the investigation.
