This is the heartwarming moment a prison guard arranged a photoshoot with his girlfriend before springing a surprise proposal.

Ariel Parot Padilla and his long-term partner, Angel Jury De Leon, struck poses in a photo studio as part of Ariel's ruse to ask for his lover's hand in marriage in Calabarzon, the Philippines.

Footage shows the couple modelling in front of a camera in different angles as part of their seventh-anniversary celebration on November 27.

Moments later, Ariel dropped onto one knee holding a red box ring, while the unsuspecting woman stood still, her back turned to her boyfriend.

She then turned around only to find her partner looking up. She beamed in shock and briefly hid her face in shyness before saying yes to the proposal.

Ariel then placed the ring on his fiancee's hand as they struck another pose together.
