A wedding celebration in Uttar Pradesh took a dramatic turn when a packed stage unexpectedly gave way, sending the bride, groom, and several guests tumbling to the ground.

The incident occurred on November 26 as a group of around a dozen guests — including local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders — gathered behind the newly married couple to pose for photographs. Moments into the photo session, the plywood platform, covered with a red carpet, buckled under the weight and collapsed.

Footage captures the shocking moment the structure sinks, with the couple and party workers crashing down in a heap. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

BJP district chief Sanjay Mishra later commented that the group had stepped onto the stage after being invited to bless the couple, adding that the dais appeared to have been built without proper reinforcement.

The wedding ceremony resumed after the brief chaos, with families relieved that the mishap did not result in any serious harm.
