This is the amusing moment a Proboscis monkey was seen tucking into leaves for lunch on a riverbank.

Holidaymakers onboard a dinghy spotted the primate munching on a leaf as they sailed through a river at Tanjung Puting National Park in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Footage shows the monkey grabbing a handful of plants before walking away from the tourists on December 1.

The Proboscis monkey is one of the most distinctive and unique primate species in the world, instantly recognisable by its large, pendulous nose. They are endemic to the island of Borneo and can be seen in coastal areas, mangrove forests, and riverine swamps.
