In eastern China's Cixi City, one of the country's major production bases for heaters, manufacturers say they're operating at full capacity to meet demand for warmth from across the globe. [Sound_bite] Ren Gaojie, general manager, home appliance company: "Our total sales revenue reached 35 million U.S. dollars by the end of October and is expected to surpass 38 million U.S. dollars by the end of December, up 36 percent compared to last year." [Voice_over] Another local factory that produces electric fireplaces said their patented 3D flame products have even turned some of their former competitors into customers. [Sound_bite] Li Qiang, manager, foreign trade department, home appliance company: "Based on our own patented technology, we have further developed a new invention patent for 3D flame effects, unlike the flat display of traditional systems." [Voice_over] A vendor selling heaters at Yiwu City said customer preferences vary from country to country. [Sound_bite] Huang Xiaojing, store owner: "European customers prefer compact and elegant models that deliver high power and fast heating, something stylish yet cozy. And in the Middle East and Central Asia, they go for larger, higher-power units."
