Banana Boat Ride Ends in "Slippery" Disaster for Tourists in Mexico
A classic holiday fail was captured by Cassandra Alvarez at the beach in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico, on July 20, 2025.
The video shows a group of tourists enjoying a ride on a yellow inflatable banana boat being pulled by a motorboat. As the ride picks up speed and attempts a turn near the shore, the balance shifts. The entire group is suddenly flipped off the inflatable, tumbling into the ocean waves in a chaotic splash.
The funny moment highlights the inevitable (and often intentional) outcome of banana boat rides, where holding on is only half the battle.
