Phoenix, United States - December 01, 2025 11/30/2025 10:00 pm GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – The Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Mesa Fire Department responded to reports of a traffic collision on the US-60 just east of Mesa Drive on Sunday, around 10:00 p.m. Troopers arrived to find a multi-vehicle crash blocking several lanes of the eastbound US-60. Eastbound traffic was shut down starting at Mesa Drive as fire crews arrived at the scene. According to information gathered at the scene, firefighters located three victims requiring medical assistance, one of whom had sustained life-threatening injuries. At some point after the collision, a driver from one of the involved vehicles fled the scene, climbing an embankment before making his way onto Horne Road. Mesa police were dispatched to the area and located a subject matching the description. He was transported back to the crash scene for identification by witnesses, according to preliminary information. The US-60 was expected to remain closed for several hours as troopers investigated the collision.
