HURGHADA, EGYPT - NOV. 19: The Brother Islands, Daedalus, and Elphinstone (BDE) reefs, accessible by liveaboard boat tours from Egypt’s Hurghada port, offer divers a vivid, "aquarium-like" experience thanks to the rich variety of marine life beneath the surface.

This route, considered one of the Red Sea’s most striking biodiversity zones, is home to both large and small marine species. Schools of colorful reef fish swim among pristine coral formations, reflecting the region’s underwater abundance.

In these areas, known for strong currents, divers frequently encounter large pelagic species such as silky sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks (Longimanus), hammerheads, and the elusive thresher shark. Other common sightings include moray eels, pufferfish, rays, and Red Sea coral groupers, alongside the iconic napoleon wrasse.

The BDE reefs attract a wide array of marine life to their deep walls and drop-offs, making it a world-renowned destination for experienced divers.
