Angelfish parents take turns babysitting their young
This is the mesmerising moment two Angelfish parents were seen taking turns babysitting their young.
Footage shows dozens of small, grey freshwater fish clinging to their father's and mother's bodies, alternating between the two.
One parent can be seen shaking off a cluster of their babies, flicking them toward their partner in the tank in Anhui, China, on November 5.
Angelfish often form strong, monogamous pair bonds that can last for years or even for the entirety of their reproductive lives.
Experts said that once the young are developed, they attach themselves to the parents' flanks or fins, allowing the adults to herd and relocate them actively.
