Young Rohingya Boy Protests against criminal AA's Chief
On 25 August 2025, during the Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day gathering, a young Rohingya boy was seen courageously protesting against the Arakan Army’s chief by betting Twan Mrat Naing's Picture with sandals, whom accuses of committing genocide against his community in Rakhine State, Myanmar. Holding a handmade sign as he walked toward the event, the boy demanded justice for the countless Rohingya who were killed, displaced, or separated from their families. His quiet but powerful act of defiance stood out amid the solemn crowd, capturing the pain and determination of a generation born into conflict and exile.
The protest comes at a time when Rohingya refugees continue to call for international accountability for crimes committed in Rakhine. Survivors say the Arakan Army played a major role in atrocities including killings, forced disappearances, and village burnings. As the community gathered to remember the horrors of 2017 and the years that followed, the boy’s message symbolized a broader movement: a demand for recognition, justice, and an end to impunity. His protest reflects the resilience of a people still fighting to have their suffering acknowledged by the world.
