Russia says its attack drones hit US-made Ukrainian armoured vehicles in Zaporizhzhia
This footage reportedly shows Russian drone operators destroying several American-made Ukrainian M113 armoured vehicles.
Authorities said the strike took place in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast of Ukraine on December 2.
The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that operators from the unmanned systems troops of the Vostok grouping targeted the vehicles after receiving their coordinates.
One M113 is seen attempting to move off the route as its crew fires erratically at the approaching UAV. The drone operators reportedly struck the vehicle while it was still moving.
A second transporter, which the ministry said had already been damaged by a mine, had come to a stop at the roadside before a final strike was carried out.
The ministry added that other vehicles used to transport personnel and supply frontline units were also destroyed.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
