- December 02, 2025 As part of Operation “Five Stones,” IDF forces carried out overnight and morning operations to demolish the homes of two militants involved in separate attacks. Troops from the Menashe and Samaria Brigades conducted the demolitions in coordination with Yahalom, Border Police and other security units. In Nablus, Givati Reconnaissance Unit soldiers, operating under the Samaria Brigade, demolished the home of Abed al-Karim Sinobar, identified as the planner and perpetrator of the February 20, 2025 bus bombing plot in Bat Yam and Holon. According to the Shin Bet, the attack was planned for over a month and involved multiple collaborators. The militant placed five powerful explosive devices on several buses in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. One device was discovered by an alert passenger, while the other explosives detonated without causing physical injuries. Sinobar fled to Nablus with the assistance of a smuggler and was later arrested by Israeli forces in July 2025. The decision to demolish his home was approved on deterrence grounds and upheld by Israel’s High Court. Following the demolition in Nablus, engineering forces from the Menashe Brigade and Border Police demolished the home of Ayman Ghanem in Aqaba village. Ghanem, along with other militants, carried out a shooting attack at the Mehola Junction that killed Yonatan Deutsch and injured another civilian. Security forces continue proactive counterterrorism operations in northern Samaria and across the West Bank as part of Operation “Five Stones.”
