US, Los Angeles: Vermont Knolls Teen Killed By Alleged Homemade Firework Malfunction
Los Angeles, United States - December 04, 2025 12/03/2025 09:30 pm GMT-0800 VERMONT KNOLLS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Authorities are investigating the death of a 17-year-old boy following an alleged fireworks-related incident in South Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, according to initial reports. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of W. 84th Street. Police say the teen was severely injured after what is believed to be a homemade firework malfunctioned. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the teen was later pronounced dead from his injuries. Bomb squad units responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine whether the area was safe. Further details have not been released.
